I Used to Blog
A long time ago, I used to blog. What happened?
I started my first blog back in June of 2001. I didn't have much I wanted to say, but I was on summer break from my second year in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. I liked to play around with new software and technology, and blogging seemed to be gaining momentum. I used a tool called Greymatter, which in many ways was ahead of its time. Greymatter was one of the first open-source blogging tools, allowed you to customize your theme via templates, and generated static files as output.
Over the following years, a put some posts out there, but blogging was mostly a playground for playing with technology. I moved from Greymatter to Movable Type and then to Wordpress. I don't remember having much to say or maybe more that I wasn't comfortable putting ideas out in public.
And here I am again; starting a new blog with the current hot technologies: Gatsby and React. I still like playing around with new software and technology, and you probably see some of that on this new blog. You may also see stuff about business, entrepreneurship, and designing your business to fit the lifestyle you desire.
I put out no guarantees that this blog will last, but it is time to give it another go.
